Ant Wars is a strategy game, where you command armies of ants on a battlefield. Your goal is to take out all of the hives by occupying the empty ones and attacking the others taken by your enemies.

You gain score after completing a level. The faster you complete, the fewer ants you loose, the more points you get.
If you complete all the levels or you lose all your lives, you can see your total score, which you can share online with others.

@krgtld10: Next time check the compatibility remark on iTunes! Don't download apps using your phone! Download them with iTunes on your PC or MAC and sync it with your phone. If there are hundreds of people, who say, how good the game is and you are the only one, who says, it doesn't work, then what do you think, who is the mentally disadvantaged? :-P (sorry, I can't find a better description for people, like you) The game is for OS 3.0 If you have an older OS, you won't be able to start it. It is clearly stated by apple on iTunes. Apple has a very strickt ruleset, what may be released on the appstore and they test every single app extentively, that's why it takes over 2 weeks to get approved. Do you think, if it wouldn't work, you could download it on iTunes?

This is one of my favorite games on my iPod Touch. You have to be fast and aggressive against the other ants to survive. I find myself playing this one a lot. Kinda reminds me of SimAnt from when I was a kid. Excellent game!

Fantastic, I looked at this game for a while, and I love it! Thank you, that I had access to free this great game! I am particularly pleased that this is a Hungarian team did! Very nice, well-designed graphics, great fun to play with! What I miss, however, that there is no language option. I can not be very language knowledge, but the Hungarians certainly more glad if you would obviously Hungarian menu. An old PC games like, in which ants, flies, grasshoppers, locusts and other insects to fight against each other. Unfortunately, I do not know the title, but I hope you do well and then in a game;) Unfortunately, for some reason I can not give it 5 stars and a maximum of 4 stars. Internet Explorer 7 en se, nor on the Mozilla FireFox 3.5.3. : (

I like it! Very simple concept, yet executed nicely. It is good for people who enjoy puzzles. I hate to admit I actually find it quite hard after a handful of levels, but that's a good thing. It's not on par with some of the puzzle games out there, but for the low asking price, it's great. I've tried other puzzle like games in the same price ballpark, and this one does stand out, in a good way. Some may argue that it's not a puzzle game, and maybe I am categorizing it wrong, but it makes me think so I consider it a puzzle game!

Very similar to Galcon in terms of strategy and play and I mean that as a compliment. You start with a certain number of ant hills that generate ant armies and you target neutral or enemy hills to dominate. It's a classic blend of offensive and defensive balancing and works very well on the iPhone. It features 3 different types of ants and 51 levels of varying difficulty. The controls are generally intuitive (although I agree with some that the sliding form of attacks in Galcon would be a nice addition) and the graphics are very well done and appropriate. Easily recommended for fans of the Galcon-type strategy games.

Fun, laid back game with a nice bit of strategy to it. Levels dont take long to play making this easy to play on the fly. Gets much harder as the levels go by. Id like to see a sequal with more depth to it.

Very easy to pick up and play strategy game. Based on PC games from many years ago, and very similar to one of the early big names in the iPhone game scene, Galcon. Fairly easy for quite awhile, especially if you have played a similar game. Enjoyable, with some replayability as there are three different types of ants with different strengths and weaknesses. Lacks pizazz, needs some more sounds or unique events to make it more fun to play. Right now, a 3 star game at best, but very strong potential to be improved to a buy recommendation.

It is an interesting app for a first try. For me it gets boring fairly soon, I played to level twelve using the red ant where I was defeated and tried again with the gray ant as I thought that ant was the most different from the red ant. But I didn\\'t notice enough difference in the gameplay between ants. Strategy seems very simple with going as fast as possible to your closest empty anthill - if there is one. Try to get more anthills producing than the enemy. Gang up on a target anthill as quickly as possible. I did try other strategies such as quickly building up an empty anthill in enemy territory but it didn't seem as successful as going to a closer anthill. I could see how this could be enhanced to be great with a lot of new features (different ants, soil, etc).

I think it is one of the better games for the itouch. there are a lot of games on line that are like this one. it could use a few more features like unit upgrades but over all it was a great game.

This game is pretty cool. you control the ants from ant hill to ant hill attacking the apposing ants ant hills. You can pick your ant color and you face the other two as you progress though the levels. The graphics are pretty good, and so is the gameplay. Hopefully the developer adds wi-fi multiplayer in the future!

This game was a welcome surprise. I like how the different types of ants behave differently as to speed, how fast they build up numbers in the colony, etc. There is quite a bit of replayability by just choosing to be one of the three types of ants. It is very good as both a deep game and a casual pick-up-and-play. One can play through a level quickly, or go through many levels. Very good job by the developers.

Very good game. I had tried the demo before the updates and passed, but must say since the changes, much better. I would rather see an option to bypass the scoring tabulation, so it just shows the score and moves on.

Nice Galcon clone. Graphics and animation are superb, sounds seem a little harsh, and might need to be toned down a little bit. What this game has that Galcon doesn't is Agon scoring, and levels (whearas Galcon has random levels, and online play.) This is a solid action/strategy game, well worth the buck.

It is actually a pretty good strategy game. difficulty increases as you play and you can compare it to galcon. Its already worth the money but I reccomend adding random levels and it be really good.

The idea behind this game is actually pretty neat. The ant theme is used perfectly and makes for some eye pleasing graphics of plants and other things dropped on the middle of the ant battlefield. Ant Wars plays very well and you really do need to have some strategy to win this game because it gets rather challenging. My only complaint so far is the controls. There isn't anything wrong with them, they're perfectly responsive and everything, but I would prefer more fluid controls to just tap an anthill and drag to select which hill to attack like there is in Galcon. Overall though, this is a great game that's a lot of fun.

I like this game more than Galcon. You send the ants to take over all of the hills using some strategy. You have three different types of ants to choose from at the beginning based on what they do best. It has some achievements and on line scores. I did have a little trouble getting used to the controls, but they worked well once I got used to them.

This is a pretty cool game, very similar to Galcon. There are three different types of ants to choose from each with their pros and cons. The game is pretty easy so far, I've only played the first 15 or so levels. It is pretty fun to play and I'm glad I have it, but the music is VERY annoying. I almost don't want to pass a level cause of the sound effects and music that play when I do. The music is the biggest downfall in this game and needs to be removed or updated. All in all, it's a fun strategy game that I'll be playing for awhile, just with the sound off.

I think this is a great strategy game! I like the choice of 3 different ants with different amounts of propagation, speed, and agility. The gameplay works very well and the graphics look crisp. I found the controls to be easy to use and very responsive. With over 50 levels, 3 ant choices, and online scores- the replay value is high. Great job on this game! A very good choice for fans of strategy games!

Ant Wars is fairly easy, until you get to about level 20. Then you have to come up with a strategy to win. You are given three different types of ants to choose from that vary in the same type of abilites. For replayability, you can try each kind of ant and see if you can beat the game with each one, but I think it will be a challenge. Gameplay is simple, tap on one of your hives, and then tap on an empty hive or an enemy hive to take it over. If you have enough ants to attack an enemy hive, it becomes yours. Otherwise, you will have to send more ants to take it over. Graphics are decent, menus look fine, and there is an onlineleader board, as well as achievements to unlock and a resume game function, but no restart level function, and the music reminds me of some old games

The only gameplay change I can think of is maybe add the ability to drag your finger to move the ants around (like in galcon). Overall I think its great and ive been playing it for well over 20mins straight now.

V1.0 - Ok I think this is a good game. It's much like Galcon and functions the same. You have a selection of 3 different types of ants to choose from with minor changes in their ability. Their job as stated in the app desc is to take over the hives. The game-play is smooth. What I would like to see.. (More Polish) I can't stand the music, drives me nuts. Separate music/sfx volume controls are a must IMO. I have completed the first 7 levels which didn't take too long but I can't see my personal offline score. The ownership of the hives is determined by flags that are semi-transparent. I think if the hive glowed a certain color kinda like when it was selected it would be better than the flag method. Not a fan of the menu buttons, there kinda too typical. 3.5*
