What is my Appstore User ID ?
It is NOT your appstore user name and NOT your email address, which you registered on iTunes!
It is a chain of numbers given to you by Apple, which can consist 7-10 digits.

Where do I find my Appstore User ID ?
You find your ID if you follow the below steps:
- Log in into your US Appstore Account on iTunes.
- Go to an app, which you already reviewed.
- Search for your review.
- Right click on your name.
- Click "Copy Link" in the appearing dropdown menu
- Paste the link into a text editor.
- Look for the numbers at the end of the link.
- Register this ID on Promo Dispenser by adding it on the top of the site into the field.

Why do I get the message, I have to review appX?
You have to review every app on iTunes only. You don't have to review an app on Promo Dispenser anymore. If you get this message, you didn't review the app on iTunes.

How do I validate my reviews?
Go to your account page and click the red speech bubble next to the app, you reviewed on iTunes. It will check your review and if everything is fine, it will turn green. Now you can get another code. You can also wait for the 24 hour auto update, when the system checks your reviews automatically.

How do I review an app on iTunes?
Just click the "Review on iTunes" button on the app's info site above the reviews of the other people.

I already reviewed this app on Promo Dispenser, why can't I get a new code?
You have to copy + paste all your previous reviews into iTunes. Go to your account page to see the apps you have to review and to see your old reviews.

Where can I find my old reviews?
Go to your user account page on Promo Dispenser. There you will see a link to the page, where all your reviews are listed. Copy + paste them into iTunes by copying the text and clicking the button below the review which will take you to the review page of the particular app on iTunes.

What are those bubbles on my Account Page?
Every app, you still need to review on iTunes, has a red speech bubble. Every app you already reviewed on iTunes has a green bubble.
If you reviewed an app on iTunes, but the bubble is still red, click it. It will check your review on iTunes and veryify your review. Then it will turn green.

Why are some names orange among the reviews?
Reviews written by Promo Dispenser users on iTunes are marked by colouring the user name to orange.

What is PromoDispenser?
PromoDispenser is a site, where developers of iPhone/iPod touch applications can promote their apps by giving away promo codes to our registered users.

What is a promo code?
Every developer receives 50 promo codes per application from Apple being able to promote their apps. They can give them to media representatives, like review sites, blogs etc. People, who own a promo code for an application, may download that app for free from iTunes Appstore to test and review it.

Is PromoDispenser illegal? Is this a Warez site?
No! PromoDispenser is approved by Apple itself and it is giving away free promo codes provided by Apple and uploaded by the developer of the app.

Do I have to pay for this?
Absolutely not. You don't have to pay ever. Neither as a user nor as a developer. It's absolutely free.

Are there any strings attached? Why is it free?
There are no strings attached. You just have to play by the rules.

Who can use promo codes?
Everybody, who has a registered US store account may use promo codes to download apps from iTunes for free.

I have only a store account for my country, which is not the US, can I use promo codes?
You can use promo codes only in the US store, but don't worry! Read further.

Can I get an US store account even if I am not a resident of the US?
Everybody can register an US store account. Click the "Redeem Code on iTunes" button below your given code to start iTunes. Go back to the main site and change the store on the bottom of the page to US.

- log out from your regular account (if you are logged in) by clicking the account name on the top right corner and then the log out button
- go back to the "Redeem" site by clicking the appropriate link in the top right menu
- write the code into the field and click the "redeem" button
- in the login pop up window click the "register new account" button and follow the instructions
- you will need a real US state, city, zip code and street adress
- for payment option choose "NONE"
- finish the process

I can't log in, what should I do?
Click the link "Get Account Info" on the login page.
Write your registered email adress into the field and klick the send button.
Log in with the user name and the new password, you received in your email (please note that these are case sensitive, so you have to write them as they appear in the email!).

I didn't get an activation email, what should I do?
Look into your spam folder! If there is nothing, click the "Resend Activation mail" link on the login page and write your registered email and your user name into the fields, then klick the send button. Yahoo, Hotmail and Comcast addresses may have problems, use Gmail if possible!

My app was deleted, why?
Your app was a free app (only paid apps may be uploaded), or you messed something up, which we couldn't fix.

I uploaded an app, but it doesn't show on the main site. What happened?
You missed something during the upload process.
Javascript must be enabled.
Use Firefox or Safari on your PC or Mac. Other browsers may have problems.
Don't use your iPhone!

Why are the stars for an app white, when there are reviews?
The stars are scraped directly from iTunes (like everything else). The stars will show the exact rating (turn yellow), when there are at least 5 ratings on iTunes. Until then they remain white.

I was banned, why?
Simply: You didn't play by the rules.

How can I download an app with my code?
ALWAYS use iTunes on your PC or MAC. Never use your iPhone/iPod touch for redeeming a code and downloading an app!
If you got a code, klick the "Redeem Code on iTunes" on the site below your given code and paste the code into the field, then click the "redeem" button. Your app will be downloaded into iTunes and you can sync it with your phone.

iTunes says, my code is already used. Why?
If you get the message in iTunes that your code has been already used, go to the app's info page and click the "Add to Wish List " button. If your code really didn't work, iTunes will add it to your Wish List, which you can find in the "drop down menu" by clicking your account name in the right top corner of iTunes.

If your code worked, but iTunes made a mistake, it will tell you that you already purchased this item and you can download it for free. In this case check your available downloads in the store! To do that, click the "store" button on the top, then choose "Check for available downloads". If the app is downloaded, you will see it in your "Applications" menu and you can sync it with your phone.

Attention! It works only on iTunes, not on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod!
